On July 29, the 10th Finance Summit & 2021 Sustainability Business Conference (CFS) and the "2021 Consumer Brand Supply Chain Development Summit" (CBSCDS) were successfully held in Shanghai. Budweiser APAC and Budweiser China were awarded a sustainability prize each at the two events. As one of the most influential annual conferences, the 10th CFS is not only focused on the hottest finance topics, but also concentrated on sustainability-linked economic growth transformation under China’s 30•60 Carbon Goals. Specifically, Budweiser APAC was entitled as “2021 Sustainability Model Enterprise”. CBSCDS was hosted by industry forum platform LOG. Budweiser China was honored as one of the “2021 LOG Low-Carbon Supply Chain Logistics Innovation Excellent Enterprise” for commitment to green logistics development, especially the persistent efforts in reducing CO2 emission within logistics. Such as deploying alternative energy vehicles and forklifts, supply footprint optimization, upsizing truck capacities and shifting from road to rail & ship transportation.
Supply chain is going green and zero (low) carbon. While the digital transformation of supply chain is in full swing, the movement to transition to zero (low) carbon supply chain is also rapidly emerging. It can be foreseen that digitalization, omni-channel, green will be the key to the transformation of China's supply chain logistics in a foreseeable future cycle. Budweiser China has been on the road of green logistics reform since 2014.By 2020, Budweiser China has put more than 200 green vehicles into use, mainly including LNG trucks, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and electric trucks. In 2021, Budweiser China plans to deploy more than 260 green vehicles, including 30 EV heavy trucks and more than 30 small and medium-sized EV trucks. The number of green trucks are expected to reach 300 by the end of this year. Meanwhile, in 10 breweries to implement 100% electric forklift operations. Also through more green logistics measures, like multi-model optimization and explore new type green trucks, etc., continue to in-depth layout of low carbon logistics. In this conference, Budweiser China was awarded the "2021 Low-carbon Supply Chain Logistics Innovation Excellent Enterprise" for the BP green logistics practice process and case, through the organizer's selection, online voting and expert review.
