OBC delivered 15 million won(KRW) to support local talent in Gwangju Metropolitan City, where OBC’s major brand ‘Cass’ as well as newly launched brand ‘Hanmac’ are produced. The scholarship will be used to foster talents in Gwangju for a more balanced development between regions.
OBC has been donating scholarships to Gwangju since 2003. For the past 19 years, OBC donated a total of 550 million KRW to support local talents in Gwangju City. The funds have been used as tuition fees for underprivileged students facing financial hardship.
As a leading ESG company in Korea, OBC conducts various social contribution activities to help local communities, such as ‘Happy Library’, a project renovating learning facilites for children, and ‘Sales Charity’, a project donating goods to support underpriviliged locals.
