OBC Presents Cass Forest of Hope at Korea Forest Service Webinar in Celebration of 2021 World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought

OBC presented ‘Cass Forest of Hope’ as an exemplification to desertification prevention at a webinar held by the Korea Forest Service to commemorate 2021 World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought.

OBC’s Cass Forest of Hope model was introduced alongside with other renowned Korean companies that have contributed in desertification prevention.

Cass Forest of Hope is an environmental project to prevent desertification in Mongolia by planting trees. OBC further developed the project into a susitainable model by providing eco-refugees fruit picking jobs, enabling their economic independence.

The project began in 2010 with Green Asia, an international environmental organization, and was recognized as an inspiring model in 2014 by receiving the ‘Land for Life Award’ from the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).
