Budweiser China Won the Recognition of “Influential Enterprise of the Year" at 2020 Southern Weekly Annual Summit

Year is coming, with good news. On December 11th, 2020, Budweiser China won the recognition of "Influential Enterprise of The Year" from Southern Weekly. Frank Wang, Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer, Budweiser APAC, attended the ceremony and interpreted how Budweiser China move forward and rejuvenate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with detailed case-sharing, by exploring CSR with a new perspective, so as to provide leading-edge guidance in this field.


Budweiser China has obtained this honor for the second consecutive year. The recognition was presented by the well-recognized and trusted media Southern Weekly. After 36 years of development, Southern Weekly has became one of the influential media in China. And its annual recognitions are also authoritative in China. We have been recognized for our outstanding contributions to the industry with a high degree of attention and communication.


The theme of this year's ceremony is “Cohesion and Moving Forward”, based on the forefront of brand marketing, focused on new trends, typical phenomena and outstanding cases of the year so as to collide multi-perspective. Mr. Wang delivered a keynote speech to the attendees, he said:” At Budweiser, sustainability is not just part of our business; it is our business, and it is more important than ever. The pandemic around the world has brought a huge impact on our society, economy and community. And also given our ‘2025 Sustainability Goals’ new extensions and connotations. But we have not stopped our pace, while we saw some new opportunities and we seized them, and actively explored the new path of CSR!"


We also shared some outstanding cases of Budweiser China’s CSR projects during the ceremony, including poverty alleviation-Lychee project in Zhangzhou, poverty alleviation-Rice project and Lime project in Jishui and Anyue; and Budweiser China Hope School project which has been carried out since 2010. These cases were highly praised by the attendees. What's more is that poverty alleviation-Lychee project through Budweiser Sedrin Lychee Beer, we help to accelerate agricultural efficiency and make benefit to farmers, improving their lives in a realistic and practical way. This project was also successfully selected in the CSR Goods List of Southern Weekly, and received strong praise and support from the society.
