OBC donated KRW 15 million worth of scholarship to Gwangju, where OBC’s flagship brand ‘OB Lager’ brewery is located. The scholarship will be used for the living expenses and academic support of underprivileged students in Gwangju.

OBC has been donating scholarships to Gwangju City for 17 years since 2003. As of 2020, in accumulation, OBC has donated a total of KRW 535 million to Gwangju City.

An official Stated, “We are providing scholarships to help and encourage students, under difficult learning conditions due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, we will continue to hold various social activities that bring positive impacts to the local community.”

In addition to donating hometown scholarships, OBC is engaged in various corporate social responsibility activities to help local community; such as ‘Happy Library,’ held to renovate the learning facilities of community child centers, and local community cleansing activities.
