Icheon and Cheongju Hometown Scholarship Delivery Ceremony was held. OBC donated around KRW 9 million worth of scholarship to Icheon, where OBC’s major brand ‘Cass’ is produced. The scholarship will be used to support tuition fee and living expenses of the less privileged.

Icheon Hometown Scholarship is OBC’s representative donation activity, part of the corporate social responsibility programs. Since signing a business agreement with Icheon City in 2009, OBC has donated scholarships to foster local talents. As of 2020, in accumulation, OBC has donated KRW 288.44 million to Icheon.

OBC also donated KRW 15 million and KRW 9.6 million worth of rice to Cheongju City to support the less privileged in the city, where OBC’s major brand ‘Cass’ is produced. Cheongju Hometown Scholarship has been running since 2015, to support tuition fee and foster the growth of local talents. As of 2020, in accumulation, OBC has donated KRW 180 million to Cheongju.

In addition to donating hometown scholarships, OBC is engaged in various corporate social responsibility activities to help local community; such as ‘Happy Library,’ held to renovate the learning facilities of community child centers, and local community cleansing activities.
