OBC announced that the ‘Smart Pledge Campaign for Smart Drinking’ in partnership with KoRoad(Korea Road Traffic Authority), has surpassed 20,000 pledges.
Since the campaign began on August 27, more than 20,000 people have participated to promise that they will never drink and drive. The campaign widespread while 1,300 participants voluntarily shared their participations on social media to encourage families and friends to join the pledge.
The ‘Smart Pledge Campaign for Smart Drinking,’ is a nationwide online pledge event, where participants pledge to promise that they will never drink and drive for even one second. The campaign is held to prevent drink driving by raising awareness that short distance drunk drivers often become habitual drunk drivers.
An official from OBC mentioned, “The number of pledgers exceeded 20,000 in a short time and this is a rare phenomenon of a public campaign. We hope this pledge campaign will help eradicate drunk driving and help promote a healthier drinking culture.”
The ‘Smart Pledge Campaign for Smart Drinking’ will stay live until 29th of September. Anyone 19 and above can simply access campaign website, take a ‘Fundamentals to No Drunk Driving’ OX quiz, and write in their names to complete the pledge.
