Release date:June 03, 2020

The owner of the famous beer brands all the world such as Budweiser, Corona, Stella Artois,... continues to take lots of meaningful actions - supporting people in the South Central Coast and Mekong Delta to overcome the salinity drought.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the drought and salinization have expanded on a large scale, spreading from the South Central Coast to the Mekong Delta. The rainfall and upstream water flow have been decreasing, which makes salinization happen from December last year, earlier and deeper than the average of previous years. It is predicted that in the coming months, drought, water shortage and salinization in the coastal provinces of South Central and Mekong Delta will develop complicatedly and unpredictably. In a long term, due to the impact of climate change, sea-level rise and increasing demand for water, especially the exploitation of water in the upstream area, the risk of drought, water shortage and salinization can happen more frequently and seriously.

Our Dream is bringing people together for a better world, on June 3 2020, the world's largest beer group AB InBev has continued to collaborate with Vietnam Red Cross to give 140,000 cans of purity water for people who have been affected by the salinity drought in Binh Thuan, Kien Giang, Soc Trang and Tra Vinh provinces.

Mr. Truong Van Toan – Legal and Corporate Affairs Director of AB InBev in South East Asia and Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Red Cross, represents for the South.
