On the morning of April 28th, Mr. Yu Weiguo, Secretary of Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Tang Dengjie, Chief Governor of Fujian Province, cordially met with Mr. Jan Craps, CEO and Co-Chair of Budweiser APAC, President of ABI APAC in Fuzhou, Fujian. Mr. Frank Wang, Executive Director and Vice President of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Budweiser APAC, Mr. Matt Che, Vice President of Marketing, Budweiser APAC, Mr. Jianping He, BU President, BU Southeast, Budweiser China, and Ms. Gracy Gao, Vice President of Corporate Affairs of Budweiser China also attended the meeting. This is Mr. Jan Craps’ first business visit since the outbreak of CoVID-19 in 2020.

Secretary Yu Weiguo extended a warm welcome to Mr. Jan Craps and his entourage for choosing Fujian Province as their first destination to do the market visit. He expressed admiration for Budweiser's commitment on the strategic partnership with Fujian Province. Meanwhile, gratitude was also expressed to Mr. Jan Craps for his support on the development of Fujian Province and for Budweiser expanding investment and business scale in Fujian Province. Yu asked about the business operation of Budweiser China during the CoVID-19 and how seriously the business was affected by the epidemic. Yu mentioned that Fujian Provincial Government would support the development of foreign-funded enterprises in Fujian in full sail, and he hoped that the business for Budweiser in China and Fujian can have better development after the epidemic. Fujian Provincial Government would coordinate and release more stimulus policies on enterprises production resumption and commercial business resumption to encourage more people going back to the normal life and enjoying more Budweiser beer. Fujian Provincial Government would fully support Budweiser's development in Fujian; further expand the base to exploit industrial tourism, to introduce upstream and downstream supporting facilities, and to make greater contributions to Fujian's economic and social development.

Mr. Jan Craps showed his gratitude to Secretary Yu, Governor Tang and all the other leaders for their reception in the special epidemic period. Mr. Jan Craps introduced the measures that Budweiser has taken during the epidemic, including employee salary increment, safety protection to employees, care to the wholesalers and channels, etc. As a Honorary Citizen of Fujian, Mr. Jan Craps mentioned that he was very pleased to witness the economic and social development in Fujian, which is his second hometown. Fujian Province is the strategic core market of Budweiser China, where Budweiser has set up a world-class base, a regional sales headquarters, and introduced international new brands such as Corona and Blue Girl. In the future, Budweiser will deploy craft beer to further expand industrial tourism and support the business development of Fujian Province with practical actions.
