OBC announced on the 17th that it has held a kick-off ceremony for the first 'OB-Rang (Together With OB)', a group of college student supporters who are interested in environmental issues and promote environmental protection in conjunction with Korea Green Foundation (KGF).
To help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to take part in responsible 'social distancing', the kick-off ceremony was held via remote online video conference with the organizers, OBC and KGF, along with the 'OB-Rang' supporters. 'OB-Rang' supporters participated in the kick-off ceremony held at the OBC HQ through their computers at home or mobile devices.
Starting with a welcome speech by CEOs of OBC and KGF, the purpose and operational direction of 'OB-Rang' was introduced. 'OB-Rang' supporters introduced themselves and presented on their dedication and determination to protect the environment. The opening ceremony concluded with a Q&A session where supporters actively asked questions and received thorough answers about the environmental campaigns and activities of both organizations.
'OB-Rang' is college student supporters that OBC launched for the first time this year. Supporters were selected out of 380 applicants through online interviews on March 24th. The first 'OB-Rang' group will work as 'Eco Speakers' who will voice out themselves to protect the environment and actively promote environmental protection until June.
"The spread of Covid-19, which has resulted in the conduction of social distancing, has led to a new way of communicating with our college student supporters. We will work together with the first group of 'OB-Rang' to plan and publicize environmental campaigns and realize the core vision of OBC to create a 'Better World'" said OBC spokesman.
