Budweiser 0.0 is all set to introduce ‘BUDXHOME’ – a unique livestream experience, bringing together leading music artists of the country, in partnership with Mixmag, to support at-risk nightlife workers amidst the global pandemic. The brand will showcase special sets featuring an exciting line-up of artists, such as Anish Sood – acclaimed DJ and music producer in the dance music space; BLOT! – a homegrown electronic DJ; Likwid – who has been on the forefront of the Indian underground scene and Kaleekarma – an eclectic artist known to tell stories through her music. Streams will go live from Mixmag’s Facebook page daily, starting 1st April, 2020.
The initiative is underlined by Budweiser 0.0’s commitment to the Indian music scene, with a purpose of aiding the affected nightlife community with a monetary backing of INR 1.5 lakhs per stream. Given the unprecedented situation, a number of music gatherings / concerts have been postponed indefinitely, halting usual operations of the industry, locally as well internationally, until further notice. In wake of this, Budweiser 0.0 is championing the effort of supporting and safeguarding communities through these testing times, by standing in solidarity with underground artists, DJs, technicians, producers, bartenders, security staff, sound engineers and other members, with ‘BUDXHOME’. This will be facilitated in association with India Nightlife Collective – a relief organization founded to provide financial support to the driving forces behind the music and entertainment industry.
Commenting on this, Udit Mediratta, Director Global Brands – South Asia, AB InBev opined, “Over the years, music has emerged as an indisputable passion point that unites individuals, irrespective of differences and difficulties. With this sentiment at core, we are eager to provide consumers with the opportunity to revive their spirits and engage digitally with the music scene, safely and responsibly from the comfort of their homes. Our endeavour, ‘BUDXHOME’, is reflective of our core value of bringing people together – and we are delighted to have partners like India Nightlife Collective and Mixmag who have come on-board to assist us in supporting the music and entertainment community.”
Further sharing their views on the initiative, Arnab Banerjee and Anish Sood, Co-Founders of India Nightlife Collective, said, “In light of the current global crisis, the nightlife and live event space will be one of the worst hit sectors. While the government and major corporations are all doing their bit to contain the damage, we strongly felt the need to set up a focus group that would bring key stakeholders from the industry to work together - helping protect and giving back to our community. Hence, we are delighted to launch India Nightlife Collective which would help positively impact the entertainment industry and are glad to have support through efforts like BUDX Home.”
