At 22:55 on 17th June, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Changning county of Yibin in Southwest China’s Sichuan province, so far killing 13 people and injuring 158 people, according to the Ministry of Emergency Management.
At critical moment, Bud China volunteers got in touch with Ziyang Civil Affairs Bureau at 7:00 Tuesday and successfully contacted with Changning County Civil Affairs Bureau. Subsequently, the relief work and transportation of “Bud China Emergency Drinking Water” was started immediately.
At 14:00, 9600 cans of “Bud China Emergency Drinking Water” were transferred from Ziyang Brewery and transported to Changning County of Yibin. At the same time, the volunteers from Yibin Sales rushed to Changning from the surrounding areas immediately after hearing the information, they cooperated with the volunteers in Ziyang Brewery very well and provided timely assistance. At 18:46, all of “Bud China Emergency Drinking Water” was sent to the Civil Affairs Bureau of Changning on time. This batch of water would be sent to the victims of Shuanghe, Changning County by professional institutions as soon as possible.
“Bud China Emergency Drinking Water” has been used to several disaster relief activities such as hail disaster relief in Yancheng, flood relief in Xiangjiang, flood relief in Jiangshan, flood relief in Ji’an, earthquake relief in Yibin since 2015. And So far, there were 63,312 cans of drinking water distributed to those people in need, and 7000 disaster victims have been helped. Wuhan brewery keeps manufacturing a batch of drinking water every year, then sends the water to the breweries in Wuhan, Ziyang, Putian, Kunming(storage points of “Bud China Emergency Drinking Water” for storage. This strategy enables Bud China to send the drinking water to the front lines as soon as possible. And the show shelves of the “ Bud China Emergency Water” was placed in 7 BU offices and China and APAC headquarters office for everyone to understand and participate.
