OBC (CEO Bruno Cosentino) has announced on 14th that it will initiate ‘Visiting Water Environment Class’ with the Green Foundation (Chairman Yeol Choi) for our future generation.
Starting from Daechon Central Elementary School of Gwangju on 13th, OBC will visit A-mi Elementary School of Icheon on 14th and Miho Elementary School of Chungju on 18th to conduct water environment class.
Visiting Water Environment Class’ is part of ‘Water for Next Generation’ Campaign which is in operation for 3 years now. This is on-the-spot water education program that highlights importance of water in elementary schools or middle schools nationwide. This year, the class will be conducted in schools of Icheon, Chungju and Gwangju where OBC breweries are located in.
In this Visiting Water Environment Class, there are various classes pursuing eye-level learning such as visual-audio class-watching movies about water-shortage and having a discussion, and experiential class-making ‘Ooho’, the water capsule that decomposes naturally, using seaweed extract. Through these classes OBC is aiming to boost children’s will to protect our environment. Particularly this year, OBC has utilized prize-won film of ‘Water Film Festival’ for this environment class so that kids can learn about different kinds of jobs related with water. The film festival was conducted last year by OBC and the Green Foundation.
An employee of OBC said, “I hope this class becomes an opportunity for our future generation to have interest in how precious and important water and environmental protection is. As we are a company using water as a key ingredient, we will continue to run experiential water education program.”
