Stella Artois, ‘Uninterrupted Journey’ TV Commercial Airs - Seo Hyung Kim, Yoon Ah Kim, Eun Ee Song selected as campaign models … supporting Korean women who make their own path

On the May 15th, the ‘Uninterrupted Journey’ TV commercial for premium Belgian beer brand Stella Artois is aired.

The commercial was produced as part of the ‘Become An Icon’ campaign to support the dreams of Korean women in this period. Actress Seo Hyung Kim, singer Yoon Ah Kim, and comedian Eun Ee Song, who were picked as the campaign models, used Gang San Eh’s “You Can Do It” song as their own background music for the commercial, adding to the value of the support. The original song by Gang San Eh, a Korean folk rock legend with deep masculine voice was reinterpreted by the three female models with their own character.

This commercial is characterized by a sensory transformation of the video according to trends of the times. The story includes supporting women who overcome the difficulties they face and constantly strive for their dreams. The video begins when Seo Hyung Kim, who is sitting at a bar enjoying Stella Artois beer, singing the song in a low voice as she recalls her past. Dressed in a waitress outfit of the early 90’s Seo Hyung Kim smiles bitterly at the female shampoo model on TV while clearing empty glasses. Seo Hyung Kim, who sees a late 90’s female politician on TV and leaves to achieve her dreams. Then it shows a successful Seo Hyung Kim in the late 2000’s, and reunites with her friends Yoon Ah Kim and Eun Ee Song, who also achieved their respective dreams. Against the backdrop of Seo Hyung Kim looking happily at past photos she took with her friends, the video ends with a campaign message saying, “Not giving up creates your own path”.

British female Director Rain Allen Miller, who is known for her unique props and use of color, participated in the filming.

We plan on delivering the hopeful and enterprising message from Stella Artois, along with the three female icons who became stars by pioneering their own path in their respective fields to consumers.”
